Every casino on CasinoFinder is scored across nine weighted categories using the same published methodology. Here is exactly how ratings, Editor's Choice picks and Casino Finder matches are calculated.
CasinoFinder exists to help you compare online casinos on the things that actually affect your experience: whether you can trust the operator with your money, how quickly you get paid, what you can play, and what it costs. The methodology on this page is applied identically to every casino we cover, whether or not we have a commercial relationship with it.
Each casino receives a score from 0 to 10 in nine categories. The weights below come from the site's published scoring settings and are the same ones used to compute every rating on the site. Categories are listed from heaviest to lightest.

Category weights are configured centrally and versioned with the content. Weights total 100%.
Our analysts work from a checklist for each category. Safety, for example, looks at licensing and ownership transparency, track record and how long the operator has been paying out, published complaint handling, and security features such as two-factor authentication. Withdrawals combine our own test payouts with published limits, verification friction and the consistency of processing times over the review period.
Scores are recorded to one decimal place. A 10 means we could not find a meaningful weakness in that category; a 5 means the casino is average for the market; anything below 4 is a caution that we call out explicitly in the review.
The overall rating is a weighted average of the nine category scores, converted from the 0–10 scale to a 0–5 scale and rounded to one decimal place. In plain terms:

Editor's Choice is an editorial designation, not a rank. It marks casinos our senior analysts would recommend to a friend without caveats for a specific use case — for example the best overall crypto casino or the strongest sportsbook for US players.

The Casino Finder turns your answers into a profile and scores every casino against it. The result is a percentage match (up to 99%) with an explanation of why each casino scored the way it did. Two rules apply before any weighting:

Editorial rating
10%The casino's overall CasinoFinder rating, so a better all-round product edges out a weaker one when everything else is equal.
Match weights are defined in the matching engine and published here for transparency. Weights total 100%.
Each component produces a score between 0 and 1, which is multiplied by its share of the 100% total and summed. The result is mapped to a 0–99% match so that a perfect fit reads as 99% rather than a misleading 100%. Ties are broken by overall rating.
Every entry on the site carries a verification state, shown wherever a rating, bonus or key fact is displayed as a headline:
The entry was created from public sources (the operator's website, licence registers, published terms) and has not yet completed the checklist below. Facts and scores are provisional. Confirm details on the casino's own site before depositing.
An analyst has completed the checklist, the reviewing editor has signed off, and the date shown is when that last happened. The date is stored on the entry and displayed with the badge.
The two states are enforced by the site, not just described here. An entry counts as Verified only when its record carries all of: a verification date, the named verifier (who must be a published member of staff, not a placeholder profile) and at least one source document consulted; the verifier also records a plain-language summary of what was tested. If the date, verifier or sources are missing, the entry is treated as Demo data whatever its label says. The states have concrete consequences:

Every casino is scheduled for a full re-review at least once every six months. Bonus offers are re-checked monthly, or sooner when an operator announces changes. In addition, any of the following triggers an immediate out-of-cycle review:
